Popular K-Pop band Blackpink’s Jennie has teased a new song recently and it has created a huge hype on social media. But Prime Video India seems to have sparked a controversy about the song.

The short teaser for the song ‘Like Jennie’ seemed to some to be very similar to a tune from ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’.

It is Alia Bhatt’s theme music from the movie. And Prime Video posted a photo of Alia from the movie with a caption saying ‘BLACKPINK fans, we bet you can hear this image’. Fans took it as an insult to Jennie and Blackpink and there are huge demands for boycotting Prime Video.

Following the huge social media uproar, Prime Video has deleted the post. But fans are still angry on the platform. There are many posts on social media urging Prime Video India to apologise to Jennie.

There are many people saying that a little similarity is nothing unusual and there is no reason to accuse Jennie of plagiarising. And on the other hand there are some who say Prime Video did not insult the singer but took it sportingly by making a meme out of it.
