After the Tamil version of ‘Panchayat’ titled ‘Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam’, Prime Video recently premiered a Telugu version of the popular show too. It is titled ‘Sivarapalli’ and follows the same plotline but fans are not very happy with Prime Video for this.
The quick remakes of the show in two widely spoken languages shows that Amazon Prime is indeed eager to cater to these audiences and expect that Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam or Sivarapalli become as popular as Panchayat has been.
But audiences think that the platform does not care much about Sivarapalli. A user has recently pointed out the actor/actress details were not even shown while watching the Telugu show.
Another has pointed out that this is stemming from insecurity. Prime Video wants Telugu audiences but does not want to show the names of the actors.
While Panchayat was heavily hyped and promoted by the platform, the same enthusiasm is not being seen for Sivarapalli. Netizens smell a bias here and are not very happy with it.
This could be a technical error but Amazon Prime Video will need to look into the matter and fix this as soon as possible.
