The Kannada film Bagheera, written by Prashanth Neel, was promoted as a pan-India project.
It created some buzz due to Neel’s association and the involvement of Hombale Films. However, it ended its theatrical run with worldwide collections of around Rs 30 crore. The film recently started streaming on Netflix.

Bagheera is the first Kannada movie to stream on Netflix. The platform acquired its rights because of the big names attached to the film.

After the failures of Martin and Kabzaa, Bagheera is a relief for the Kannada industry. It has not faced any trolling or criticism on social media after its OTT release.
