Ever since Metro… In Dino trailer has released, Sara Ali Khan is receiving backlash for her new look. She can be seen donning bangs with short hair and fans are drawing comparison of her look with her father Saif Ali Khan’s female get up in Humshakals.
She started her career with Kedarnath where her performance overshadowed Sushant Singh Rajput and she was highly acclaimed but after that she has not done much good with her acting skills. Zara Hatke Zara Bachke with Vicky Kaushal was her only decent release and the extensive trolling that followed Love Aaj Kal was a nightmare for her.
Clearly she is under tremendous pressure to prove her worth plus the nepo kid accusations don’t leave her at any point. However, fans felt that demeaning her looks and making fun of her by calling her “manly” or “cheap copy” was unfair.
Metro… In Dino seems like a refreshing take on Bollywood rom-coms and Anurag Basu is known for bringing the best out of his actors. This might just be the chance for her to probe her worth if she gives a solid performance in the film.
