Paying ₹1500 for This? OTT Sparks Massive Backlash

Fans angry over SonyLiv streaming issues

Football fans in India are furious with SonyLiv once again, as the platform failed to deliver smooth streaming during UEFA Champions League matches. Despite paying ₹1500 a year, users complained about poor quality and constant interruptions during live matches.

Many said the platform was filled with excessive advertisements and low-resolution streams. Matches aired around midnight, making it even more frustrating for fans who stayed up only to face buffering and lags throughout the game.

One user posted, “Extremely pathetic streaming quality of live UCL matches. Imagine paying ₹1500 a year for this.” Another compared SonyLiv to piracy websites, saying even illegal platforms provided better quality than the official broadcaster.

Several users also reported that the stream kept glitching and buffering despite having stable internet connections. The lag caused delays in live action and disrupted the experience repeatedly, leaving fans annoyed and disappointed.

This isn’t the first time SonyLiv has been called out for poor streaming. With global tournaments like the UEFA Champions League drawing massive Indian viewership, fans are now demanding accountability and better quality for the price they’re paying.
