The case had sparked clashes between Shah Rukh Khan and Sameer Wankhede. Leaked WhatsApp chats showed SRK pleading with Wankhede for his son’s release.
Now, the makers of the show have mocked Wankhede, and he has taken it seriously. He filed a defamation case against Red Chilies Entertainment, Gauri Khan, and the Netflix producers.
Netizens believe lawyers will dismiss the case easily. They point out that the show never used a real name, profession, or designation, and resemblance to a person, dead or alive, is often legally allowed.
