Sanjay Dutt’s upcoming movie, Aakhri Sawal, has landed in a bit of trouble. The film was originally supposed to hit theaters on May 8, 2026. However, according to a recent report, it is now unlikely to release on that date because there are some issues with censor certification.
The Central Board of Film Certification, or the CBFC, is being very careful with this movie as it is revolves around several sensitive issues such as history of RSS and Babri Masjid demolition. They have to make sure that the film doesn’t hurt anybody’s sentiments while depicting those past events.
The makers haven’t released the trailer yet due to this clearance issue. And because the discussions between the filmmakers and the board are taking quite a long time, the producers felt it would be better to push the release date further.
The censor committee has been assured by the makers that their picture only shows what’s available in records and documents. They believe the story deserves to be seen by the public because it is rooted in facts. On the other hand, the CBFC members are being extra cautious due to the sensitive nature of the subject matter.
Currently, the team behind Aakhri Sawal is aiming for a new release date on May 15. The producers think this is a wise move to ensure everything is sorted out before the film reaches the audience. Everyone is now looking forward to seeing how the censor board handles the situation in the coming days.
