Vir, who is making his directorial debut under Aamir’s banner, shared that he personally approached the superstar three years ago with a unique story idea. He believed Aamir was the only producer who would understand his creative vision.
To his surprise, Aamir agreed to hear him out but what followed was a long and demanding process. Vir recalled going through six detailed narrations before Aamir finally gave the green light. Each session focused on tightening the story, characters, and tone, showing how deeply Aamir likes to be involved in every project he supports.
Once satisfied with the script, Aamir added one more test. He gave Vir a small amount of money and asked him to shoot four scenes nothing fancy, just a basic “bare-bones” test on his phone. The goal was to see how Vir used the camera and directed himself as an actor.
After Vir completed a 12-minute test clip, he braced himself for another round of discussions. But when Aamir watched the footage, his only response was a simple, “Alright.” That moment marked the film’s official approval.
Once the project began, Aamir stepped back completely, giving Vir full creative freedom until the editing stage. When asked if Aamir would make a cameo, Vir teased, “You’ll have to see the edit,” keeping fans guessing.
