The Cannes Film festival is taking place in France in full swing. Many international as well as Indian celebrities have graced the red carpet and won the hearts of their fans with their looks.
One of the highly anticipated Cannes debuts this year was Alia Bhatt. She was supposed to walk the red carpet on the opening week but she was nowhere to be seen.

When asked about the same her PR team revealed that due to national tensions against Pakistan she has opted to drop the first week debut. They made it sound like a highly patriotic step but netizens have dug deeper into the whole matter.
Many Kangana Ranaut fan clubs claimed that Alia did not appear because the Cannes committee announced that long dresses with on-ground drapes are not allowed this time. Due to this her make-up and costume team was in a crisis and they decided to delay her debut at Cannes.

Reports are that this is the reason they crafted an elaborate excuse. Although she might appear at the Cannes for the final week.
