11 October is set to be the D-day for two major films that are ready for a clash. Interestingly, one of them has certainly got the lead in terms of promotions and marketing.
Jigra, Alia Bhatt led action thriller is directed by Vasan Bala. It is backed by Dharma Productions! In spite of all these assets the buzz around the project seems to be low. What could be the reason behind this?

On the other hand, a low budgeted film by Raaj Shaandilyaa has been in talks. Starring Rajkumar Rao who is riding on the success of Stree 2, it also has the sizzling diva of Bollywood – Tripti Dimri. The promotions for this comedy film are in full swing, the star cast and director have been spotted on various talk shows, podcasts and social events promoting the film.
Have the makers of Jigra underestimated the project they are competing with? The reason behind the laid back approach in their promotions could be their arrogance and star power.

But they need to realise that Raaj Shaandilyaa has also made the hit Dream Girl franchise. His comedy films have a special appeal with the masses. Although the trailer of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video wasn’t very impressive, the bumper promotion could make it a relative success compared to Jigra.
