Anurag Kashyap has explained why he will not make a biopic on Virat Kohli. When asked about it, the director clearly said “NO,” putting an end to the speculation.
The statement came during promotions of his upcoming film Nishaanchi. He mentioned that Virat is a hero to many people, especially children, but if he makes a biopic, he would prefer taking a more challenging path.
Anurag described Virat as a “beautiful” person. He added that Kohli is genuine, emotional, and authentic, which makes him stand out from others.
The director is known for dark themes in his films. He feels that directing a biopic would mean stepping away from his signature style, which is not an easy choice for him.
Even if he tries, bringing the life of a real person on screen will be a big challenge. He would not be able to use violence, intensity, or guns, which are often part of his films.
Still, audiences might welcome the idea, as it would be Anurag’s first time exploring a completely different subject. For now, fans will have to wait and see if he ever changes his mind.
