Salman Khan’s upcoming film Battle of Galwan has officially entered production. The superstar recently met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss matters related to shooting in Ladakh. Salman wanted to ensure the current season was ideal for filming without any disruptions.
Rajnath Singh assured him that the issues would be addressed but advised that China should not be defamed in the movie. He explained that India-China relations are improving, and the government wants to avoid any conflict arising from the film’s content.
Salman clarified that the movie is not against China and will instead celebrate the bravery of the Indian Army. He told the minister that it is a story that will make every Indian proud and honour the nation’s soldiers.
With a positive outcome from the meeting, the Battle of Galwan shoot is expected to finish sooner than planned. Reports suggest that the film is targeting a 2026 release, and current updates hint there may not be any delay.
Fans have high expectations, especially after Salman’s previous film Sikandar did not perform well. Some concerns remain since war-based films are not always widely accepted, but the makers are focused on delivering a compelling story.
Director Apoorva Lakhia and the team are working to ensure that the film touches the hearts of the audience. With careful planning, Battle of Galwan aims to celebrate heroism while navigating sensitive geopolitical themes.
