According to a popular source, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has approached Shah Rukh Khan for a movie. Alia Bhatt would be his co-star in a story focused on an age-gap romance.
This is the same project that was offered to Salman Khan a few years ago. It was scrapped because Salman wanted story changes that Bhansali refused to make. The film was previously titled Inshallah.
Shah Rukh has not accepted the offer yet, so everyone is waiting for his confirmation. Alia Bhatt’s team hasn’t shared any news about the project either.
Industry experts think Bhansali is making a mistake. They feel that using Alia in every movie might not work for viewers who want to see something fresh. Additionally, Alia’s public image is struggling because of her past comments about pressuring directors for roles and her similar acting style in recent films.
Experts also think Shah Rukh Khan might say no because he prefers comfortable roles now. At his age, he might struggle to play a romantic lead. He often uses body doubles and de-aging for close-up shots, which a director like Bhansali might not find acceptable.
