Three highly anticipated sequels released recently and all performed poorly despite heavy buzz. What surprised fans most is that each film had major stars leading, yet the results were far from what Bollywood promised.
War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, looked like an action spectacle. Social media hype was huge, but none of the promotion helped. The film made over 300 crore but fell short of the 500 crore mark fans expected.
Son of Sardaar 2 promised a comedy ride but turned into a letdown. Viewers dismissed it as brainrot, and the film hardly managed to earn 40 crore. Despite a known franchise, it failed to draw audiences to theatres.
The latest, Jolly LLB 3, also faced disappointment. Even with Akshay Kumar in the lead and a socially relevant theme, the hype didn’t match the box office. The film has only earned 78 crore so far, leaving fans let down again.
