Ever since the assets of Border 2 have been released it has become a target of many trolls on social media. Earlier, the anticipation around the release of Border 2 was really high because of the recall factor of the 1997 blockbuster Border.
Along with that, Sunny Deol reprising his role and addition of new faces like Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty and Diljit Dosanjh had raised the stakes pretty high. But the release of the teaser and remake of the iconic track Sandese Aate Hai has left fans a bit disappointed.
The primary concern with the teaser was excessive use of VFX and lack of strong performance. Sandese Aate Hai got a lot of hate because of Varun Dhawan and his over acting.
But the producer of the movie Nidhi Dutta has tried to play nationalist card on this film as well. She stated that by making fun of Varun Dhawan trolls are being too personal and added that they are also making fun of the entire nation as the film is nationalist. This claim is ridiculous to most of the fans and followers of the film franchise.
People are giving her a response by saying that she has only remade a masterpiece. As per them she’s clearly exploiting the propaganda appeal and have not added any value to the film on her own and has further downgraded it.
Everybody has loved the patriotic appeal of Border and was hoping the same and even much better from Border 2 and it has clearly disappointed them now. And netizens added that if the makers are not willing to take criticism and moreover cover it with propaganda then cinema is in a very sorry state in the industry.
