Luka Chuppi came out in 2019 and it deals with modern day romance and the dilemma of live-in relationship and fitting in traditional society. Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aryan got a much needed push in their careers with this film as the two gave an adorable performance.
Dinesh Vijan of the Maddock Films which was behind Luka Chuppi is planning to turn it into a franchise. It is being reported that Luka Chuppi 2 has been in discussion for some time now.
It is in news that Varun Dhawan and Sharvari will be a fresh pairing for this project and they will share screens for Luka Chuppi 2 that will deal with a similar modern day romance. Fans are split on the internet and have dividing views.
Some feel that Kriti and Kartik were iconic and it would be difficult for anyone else to replace their performance. They said that Varun Dhawan’s over-acting will ruin the film and Sharvari has not shown much talent yet.
Whereas, others feel that a fresh pairing should be given a chance. The rom-com theme is ideal for Varun and Sharvari is only recently coming into limelight with projects like Munjya and her future project Alpha, thus she should be given a chance.
