The descendant of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, MP Sambhajiraje Chhatrapati stated the controversy stating that a discussion should have been held before depicting such sequences.

While the film has been doing phenomenally well with its early teasers and promos, these types of controversies might hurt the film.

As the protests appear to get bigger in Maharashtra, it remains to be seen if the makers change the way they depict Vicky Kaushal in the film or if will it remain unchanged.
