The incident was reported in Bharuch when a man interrupted the screening of Chhaava. It was shared that he was severely drunk and started overreacting when Aurangzeb appeared in the film.
He was outraged by Sambhaji Maharaj’s torture by Aurangzeb and in an attempt to take revenge ran towards the screen. He used a fire extinguisher and tore apart the screen.
A case was filed against the man and he is expected to pay back for the damage. He even threatened the staff who tried to intervene.
It is certain that Chhaava has a strong emotional factor for the followers of the Maratha leaders like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Sambhaji Maharaj. Some scenes have been reported to move audiences to tears and the success of the film seems unstoppable.
