Dhurandhar Song Review: Vanga’s Stamp Unmissable?

Ranveer Singh in Dhurandhar song Jogi

The title track of Dhurandhar, featuring Ranveer Singh and a powerful ensemble cast, has set the internet buzzing. The song’s energy, visuals, and musical experimentation have instantly made it one of the most discussed releases of the season.

Titled Jogi, the track is composed by Shashwat Sachdev and Charanjit Ahuja. It reimagines the 1990s Punjabi folk classic Na De Dil Pardesi Nu with a modern mix of hip-hop and rap, blending nostalgia with fresh beats.

The song also marks the Bollywood debut of rapper Hanumankind, whose fiery rap verses perfectly match the Punjabi vocals by Jasmine Sandlas, Sudhir Yadhuvanshi, Muhammad Sadiq, and Ranjit Kaur. Their combined performance adds depth and attitude to the film’s tone.

The lyrics, co-written by Hanumankind, Jasmine Sandlas, and Babu Singh Maan, mirror Ranveer Singh’s rugged on-screen persona. The track balances raw Punjabi emotion with urban swagger, creating a powerful and memorable anthem.

What’s grabbing everyone’s attention, though, is the song’s stunning music video. Viewers are praising its bold editing, surreal transitions, and imaginative use of VFX. Social media users have even said the editor and VFX team deserve a raise for their innovative visual style.

The video also teases glimpses of the film’s key characters, offering a sense of the dark, high-octane world that Dhurandhar aims to explore. Fans have called it “hypnotic,” “chaotic in the best way,” and “a new benchmark in stylized visual storytelling.”

However, some users have pointed out similarities between Dhurandhar’s visuals and Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor. The intensity, tone, and violent imagery have led some to label it “Vanga-inspired,” hinting at Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s signature style.

Regardless of the comparisons, Jogi has struck a chord with listeners. Its clever mix of folk nostalgia and modern rap has made it a clear fan favourite and a strong introduction to what’s expected to be one of 2025’s biggest films.

Dhurandhar is slated for release on 5th December 2025 and stars Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun in pivotal roles.
