Diljit Dosanjh continues to win hearts even amidst controversy. Recently, the singer-actor posted a cheerful video from the sets of Border 2, confirming that he has completed his shoot for the film. The video, which is now going viral, shows him feeding laddoos to co-stars Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty, followed by warm hugs and heartfelt goodbyes. He is also seen sharing sweets with children on set, who break into spontaneous dance, adding to the joy of the moment.
This heartwarming clip comes shortly after Dosanjh faced backlash for casting Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in his film Sardaarji 2. The controversy led the Film Federation to reportedly impose a ban on the film and Diljit himself. Although the makers clarified that the shoot took place before the Pahalgam attack and rising Indo-Pak tensions, the film was released only overseas. Rumors also began to circulate that Diljit had been dropped from Border 2 due to the controversy.
However, Diljit’s recent post dismisses those claims. His on-set celebration and warm farewell confirm that he is indeed part of the much-awaited film. He plays the role of Param Vir Chakra awardee Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, and his dedication shines through despite the surrounding noise.
Sharing the video on Instagram, he wrote:
“BORDER 2 Shoot Finish ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੇਖੋਂ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਕਿਰਦਾਰ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਚ’ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ”
(Translation: “Border 2 shoot wrapped. Honoured to play the role of martyr Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon.”)
From viral videos to fan selfies, Diljit’s positive energy continues to shine. Despite the hate, the actor stays focused on his passion and purpose—and it shows.
