Filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee has recently opened up about his mental health issues that he had been dealing with after the shelving of his last film.
Dibakar’s latest film ‘Tees’ went through a long phase of delays and is now finally shelved. Fans were quite excited with the project and as Banerjee talked about in interviews and podcasts, it seemed to be a very passionate project of his too.

After many delays, Netflix had shelved ‘Tees’ in 2021. for corporate changes and industry changes. This took a toll on Banerjee’s mental health and he had to go through a period of frustration and depression.
He was angry all the time and he says his daughter too started noticing his anger too much. But the scene has changed a lot now and Dibakar Banerjee says he enjoys fighting now.

Banerjee is known for making films like ‘Oye Lucky Lucky Oye!’, ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ and ‘LSD: Love Sex Dhoka’. He is one of the most trusted directors of the industry and it is a shame that he is not being able to release such an ambitious project now.
Fans too are disappointed with Netflix and the putting off of such a film. ‘Tees’ was, however, screened in the recent Dharamshala Film Festival.
