Shah Rukh Khan is currently working on his upcoming action film King, which arrives in theatres next year. Notably, Siddharth Anand took the director’s seat last month from Sujoy Ghosh, who was originally supposed to helm the project.
King will mark SRK and Siddharth’s second collaboration after Pathaan, which was one of the highest-grossing films of 2023, collecting almost Rs. 1,000 crores at the box office.

A video of SRK is currently trending on social media where he was spotted attending the Global Village in Dubai and speaking about King. He said that Siddharth is a very strict director, adding that the project is being filmed in Dubai and Mumbai.
SRK further stated that Siddharth advised him against revealing anything about the film to anyone, adding that audiences can be assured that they would be entertained at the end of the day.

The superstar even mentioned that this time it will be Shah Rukh Khan in and as King appearing on the screen, following which his fans started to cheer for him.
King has an amazing star cast, including Abhishek Bachchan, who would play an important role. However, the script needs to be strong enough to hold the audience’s attention until the end, or else it would add a flop to SRK’s filmography.

SRK has been very careful in selecting his films, specifically after the failure of Zero in 2018. This was also one of the reasons he took a long break and returned with Pathaan, which established his lost stardom.
Considering that King will release almost three years after SRK’s last film Dunki, it seems like SRK is taking every step carefully to ensure that his fans are not disappointed. Now everything depends on the trailer which has to be attractive along with the music, which has always been a major highlight in SRK’s films.
In case King takes a huge opening, it has to be seen if it can surpass the records made by Pathaan and Jawan.
