Shaikh, renowned for her standout performances in Dangal, Ludo, Thar, and Sam Bahadur, will portray the wife of a Bollywood star in this showbiz drama.
Bhandarkar is currently assembling an ensemble cast, and Shaikh is among the first prominent actors to come on board. Talks with other actors are in various stages of negotiation.
The film is scheduled to go on floors in August, with a theatrical release planned for early 2026.

Audiences can expect the story to be laced with scandal, gossip, and power struggles, true to Bhandarkar’s signature style.
However, a couple of years ago, Netflix released Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, a series that also explored the lives of Bollywood wives behind the scenes.
Knowing Bhandarkar’s storytelling approach, this film will likely be more intense and controversial. But the real question is- will audiences be willing to pay to watch it in theatres?
