The collaboration between AR Murugadoss and Salman Khan generated strong buzz before release. Their film Sikandar carried high expectations among fans. However, the movie failed to impress audiences in theatres and quickly turned into a disappointing box office outing.
After the film struggled at the box office, fans began looking for answers behind the failure. It is common for filmmakers to address criticism when a project does not perform well. Directors often explain creative decisions or production challenges.
In this case, AR Murugadoss publicly raised concerns about Salman Khan’s work discipline during the shoot. He claimed the actor often arrived late on set and had irregular shooting schedules. The director also mentioned behavioural concerns during production.
These remarks sparked strong reactions online. Many fans felt the criticism unfairly targeted Salman Khan. The controversy soon became a major talking point among Bollywood followers discussing the fate of Sikandar.
Actor Jatin Sarna, who played a supporting role in the film, later responded to the controversy. In a recent interaction, he said he never personally witnessed Salman Khan being careless about his work during the shoot.
Jatin Sarna also stated that Salman Khan had already informed the makers about his preferred flexible schedule before the project began. According to him, the actor agreed to the film only after the production team accepted those conditions.
He further revealed that Salman Khan worked despite physical difficulties during filming. Jatin Sarna claimed the actor was dealing with an injury and severe shoulder pain while completing his scenes.
Following these statements, many Salman Khan fans criticised AR Murugadoss on social media. They questioned why the director raised such concerns publicly if both sides had agreed to the schedule beforehand.
Several fans are now asking AR Murugadoss to take responsibility for the film’s failure. Many have also demanded a public apology to Salman Khan as the debate around Sikandar continues online.
