People have been eagerly waiting for an update on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4. The last installment was released in 2024 and was a commercial success despite arriving with Singham Again on the same day.
The latest reports have revealed that Bhushan Kumar has started working on the horror comedy. Kartik Aaryan is supposed to return as Rooh Baba, and the screenplay is being developed, with the producers working to finalize a script before getting the right director.
The sequel might go on floors by the second half of 2027. The new reports have also claimed that Anees Bazmee might return to direct the film once again. However, an official confirmation is awaited.
While fans of the franchise are undoubtedly excited, another section has shared a different opinion. They addressed the career of Kartik Aaryan, stating that the actor has a habit of doing the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise when his films stop doing business at the box office.
People recalled that while Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was Kartik’s first big theatrical release after the pandemic, he signed Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 when Shehzada and Chandu Champion flopped, alongside Satyaprem Ki Katha emerging as a decent hit.
Kartik’s last film, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, was also a flop, and a few months after that, reports of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4 have emerged. Netizens have now started questioning Kartik’s choices.
Social media users asked why Kartik does not have good script sense despite being in the film industry for more than ten years. They advised the actor to experiment with something else instead of returning to a franchise that is expected to get outdated at one time.
Kartik’s fans stepped in to support him, saying that people will get to see a new side of him in Anurag Basu’s upcoming film with Sreeleela and Naagzilla. A few supporters still advised Kartik to avoid doing the BB franchise unless his character has something new to provide to the audience.
