Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar are set to collaborate on the upcoming film NaagZilla, where Kartik will play a 631-year-old serpent.

Karan Johar dropped a motion poster of the project on Instagram, featuring Kartik in a never-seen-before avatar.
In the clip, Kartik Aaryan, dressed in a pair of blue jeans, is seen with his back facing the camera. He stands inside a snake den, gazing at a distant cityscape. Interestingly, his human skin gradually transforms into a green, scaly texture, resembling that of a snake.

The motion poster makes it clear that Kartik Aaryan will portray a shape-shifting serpent. NaagZilla is slated for a theatrical release on August 14, 2026.
After the blunder Dharma made with Nadaaniyan, fans have taken to the internet to express concern that this might be another misstep.

Many pointed out that the poster for NaagZilla appears to have been made from an old picture from Kartik’s Instagram.
Fans also criticized Karan Johar and his team, suggesting that they seem to have stopped putting real effort into their projects.
Some even advised that Kartik Aaryan should take more creative control if he wants to become the next superstar. They believe that half-baked attempts like this won’t take him far.
NaagZilla appears to be a comedy, but fans have little hope that it will deliver anything exceptional, whether in terms of superstition or humour.
