Kartik Aaryan’s fantasy comedy Naagzilla has been postponed and will not be part of the much-discussed August box office clash. The film was earlier expected to face strong competition during the month.
Naagzilla was likely to clash with Love and War and Fauzi. With the postponement, Kartik Aaryan has now stepped away from this high-profile window.
The delay comes after Kartik’s recent setback with Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. Alongside this, his much-discussed personal life has also kept him in the headlines, adding pressure on his professional comeback.
Despite this, Kartik has a packed lineup planned for 2026. Among these projects, Naagzilla remains one of his most anticipated films and is backed by Karan Johar.
According to reports, the makers have chosen to postpone Naagzilla to allow more time for high-end VFX and graphics work. The team is keen on delivering strong visual quality and does not want to rush the process.
As a result, the film will skip the August clash featuring big-budget releases. Love and War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, stars Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Alia Bhatt in key roles.
At the same time, Prabhas will be seen in a major role in Fauzi, making August a highly competitive period at the box office.
