Can Kartik Aaryan pull off what Shah Rukh Khan did years ago? That’s the question on everyone’s mind right now.
With Nagzilla, Kartik is playing double roles—one as the hero, the other as the villain—in a comedy that’s being touted as Jawan meets Fukrey. Smart move or slippery slope?
According to sources Kartik is being paid a whopping ₹50 crore for Nagzilla. The film, directed by Fukrey helmer Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and co-produced by Karan Johar and Mahaveer Jain, starts shooting in September.
And before that? He’s headlining the rom-com Tu Meri Main Tera…, also under Dharma. Two big films back-to-back. Strategic planning or overexposure?
Let’s not forget—SRK aced dual roles in Duplicate, Fan and Jawan. Each brought something new: comedy, psychological depth or sheer mass power.
Nagzilla promises laughs and chaos. But can Kartik balance charm and madness like SRK did? Or will it be a parody without punch?
Double roles aren’t easy—they require versatility and presence. Kartik has the comic timing, no doubt.
But will the audience buy him as both the snake and the snake-charmer, metaphorically speaking? The genre is tricky. If the writing clicks, it’s gold. If not, it’s just noise.
Is Kartik walking into greatness or inviting disaster? Only time will tell. But one thing is for sure, he’s not playing it safe.
With Nagzilla, he’s betting on spectacle, scale and self-belief. Love him or doubt him, you can’t ignore him.
