Kartik Aaryan was recently spotted in the busy streets of Delhi’s Connaught Palace, surrounded by a large crowd waving rainbow flags. The unexpected scene quickly drew public attention and curiosity among people present at the location.
A video capturing the moment soon went viral on social media. Many users believed the actor was participating in an LGBTQ pride parade in Delhi on Valentine’s Day. The clip spread rapidly across platforms within hours.
Several viewers praised Kartik after watching the video. They assumed he was supporting an important social cause. The visuals looked like a real pride march, which led to widespread speculation online.
Later, some social media users clarified that the footage was taken out of context. The scene was actually part of the shoot for Kartik’s upcoming fantasy comedy Naagzilla, which is currently being filmed in Delhi.
Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Naagzilla is scheduled for release on 16 August, 2026. The film features Kartik as a shape shifting serpent alongside Ravi Kishan, Pratibha Ranta, Shraddha Kapoor, and Rashii Khanna.
The Delhi shooting schedule included public locations such as India Gate and Laxmi Nagar Metro. These scenes involved staged crowd sequences designed to blend fantasy elements with real surroundings during filming.
Many social media users reacted with humour after learning the truth. Some joked about a possible “gay angle” in the storyline. The confusion once again showed how public film shoots can blur the line between reality and fiction.
Kartik or the team of Naagzilla has not officially responded to the viral video yet. Still, the unexpected buzz has increased curiosity about the film and its unusual fantasy concept among audiences.
