Alia’s Own Film Troubling Her Big Spy Universe Film

Love and War movie Sicily shoot update

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next directorial, Love & War, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, is shaping up to be one of Bollywood’s most ambitious upcoming projects.

According to an industry insider, the trio recently met Bhansali to discuss the film’s grand climax sequence. The meeting, which sparked fan speculation after the stars were spotted together, was reportedly a detailed discussion about the film’s crucial final act, scheduled to be shot in the coming weeks.

The climax shoot will take place over an extensive 45-day schedule in Sicily, Italy, where Bhansali plans to block an entire street for a visually rich and emotionally intense sequence. The production team spent nearly four months scouting locations across Europe before finalising Sicily for its perfect aesthetic and light.

Known for unforgettable climaxes in films like Devdas and Bajirao Mastani, Bhansali is said to be crafting Love & War’s finale with a mix of grandeur, emotion, and artistic scale rarely seen in Indian cinema.

Fans also pointed out how Sicily is fast becoming a Bollywood favourite, following recent shoots for War 2 and Cocktail 2. With Love & War joining the list, the city seems to be the next international hub for Indian film shoots.

However, the schedule comes with challenges. If the shoot begins on November 1, 2025, and wraps around December 15, it could clash with Alia Bhatt’s promotional commitments for her YRF action drama Alpha, releasing on December 25, 2025.

Industry analysts warn that overlapping timelines might affect Alpha’s marketing campaign. The project is crucial for YRF, expected to revive its Spy Universe after the underwhelming response to War 2.

Adding to that, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif are reportedly expecting their first child around October 2025, raising further questions about Vicky’s availability for an international schedule right after becoming a father.

Despite the hurdles, Love & War remains one of the most awaited Bollywood films in production. Fans are eager to see Bhansali’s signature storytelling paired with the powerhouse trio of Ranbir, Alia, and Vicky, at a time when Bollywood is desperate for a grand, emotionally charged comeback.
