These days heavy action projects led by women are setting industries expectations up a notch. With Alia, Deepika, Rashmika Mandanna, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and many others trying their luck in action adventure films as absolute girl bosses, OTT long format is also opening to the same.
Netflix’s Mandala Murder starring Vaani Kapoor is one such project. The series is backed by Yash Raj and directed by Gopi Puthran, well known for Mardaani.

Initially it was reported that the shooting has been wrapped and it has been sent for post-production. However, now it’s in news that it is being re-shot for some schedules that could be enhanced, fans speculated that Netflix might not be happy with Yash Raj Film’s approach.
The series is supposed to be action packed but also has layered storytelling. Keeping up with the demands of the nuances, a reshooting has become a matter of importance.

Vaani has taken on some challenging roles in the past with films like Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, War and Shamshera to no major luck at the box office. But she is trying to revive herself with this project and her romantic film with Fawad Khan named Abir Gulaal is also in news.
