Recent geopolitical tensions have deeply affected her. Mandana said the situation in Iran has made her reconsider her priorities. In a recent media interaction, she described her decision as similar to a break up with India.
She has openly expressed support for Iran and spoken about the developments there. According to her, taking a public stand has distanced some friends in Mumbai. She feels the atmosphere around her has changed.
Mandana shared that her bags are already packed. She plans to move out of India and focus on the next phase of her life. However, she indicated that a return remains possible in the future.
She said she would consider coming back once stability is restored in Iran. A secure and stable regime, she believes, would allow her to reconnect with her roots. Until then, she wants to prioritise her homeland.
Mandana also expressed gratitude for the opportunities India gave her. At the same time, she admitted feeling hurt in recent times. She hopes for a free Iran where women enjoy equal rights and liberty.
