Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha was released in theatres a few days ago, and it failed to leave any impact at the box office. While the criticism of the film’s content and visuals continues, producer Namit Malhotra has been dragged into the matter by an online personality named Shan Prasher.
A clip of Shan is currently going viral on social media. It shows the man alleging that the movie, featuring Anjali Arora as Sita, is also made by Namit. As of now, Namit has not reacted to the video so far.
Notably, the clip shows Shan claiming that Namit made the film, aiming to bring out a product whose standard is lower than that of Adipurush. Shan addressed the fact that no one knows the actors who are playing the leads in Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha, and Namit might have released the film before his own film hits the theatres on Diwali as part of ragebaiting.
While the clip is now trending everywhere, netizens reacted by asking Namit to take necessary action against Shan for making false allegations. Ranbir Kapoor’s fans specifically asked Namit to take the matter seriously, saying that the entire world knows that he is not behind the film.
On the other hand, a particular section told Namit not to react since this will give Shan more attention and eventually increase his fan base on social media. People said that Namit should focus on his work and others will eventually forget about Shan.
But another section is also supporting Shan. A few individuals on social media stated that Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha might have been made by Namit, and he is possibly trying to bring everyone’s attention towards his film by intentionally making something on the same theme that will be criticized.
The truth remains a mystery for now. However, it will be interesting to see whether Namit will react to the matter or prefer to remain silent.
This guy is making serious allegations against Namit Malhotra, claiming he’s behind Anjali Arora’s #Ramayana movie. I genuinely believe @malhotra_namit should consider legal action for defamation.
He’s been unnecessarily spreading negativity around #Ramayana for a while now. pic.twitter.com/q6v4mWFgSu
