We have more of Ajay Devgn’s releases this year with Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha, Singham Again and Raid 2. So far Ajay went through Maidan doing terribly and Shaitan being a hit. But Ajay’s role in Shaitan was perceived yet again as an overprotective father trying his best to save his daughter, fans have had enough of that in Bhola and Drishyam!

Recently, on X many people criticised Ajay’s career for being a bland portrayal of expressionless roles and the lack of efficient marketing. They outright reduced him to a bad actor and compared him critically with stars like Akshay and the Khan trio of Bollywood. But fans highlighted his subtle and touching performances and how he depends on his performance more than marketing gimmicks. Films like Drishyam, Omkara and Golmaal showcase his versatility. He has portrayed wide ranging characters in genres such as action, romance, thriller, drama and comedy. To top it all up he also has 4 national awards!

But it is no lie that his recent releases have not been upto the mark. His roles do seem repetitive and less relatable than his past performances. The stardom he experienced with Singham, Golmaal, Drishyam and Shivaay has been overshadowed by an array of mediocre releases. In the best hopes for Ajay, we can only wish that his upcoming projects brings back his impactful acting that sways the big screen! In the current day and age how he markets them will also play an important role in it.
