Veer Pahariya and director Apoorv Singh Karki’s Prem Keetanu has finally arrived in theatres. It has clashed with Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam: The Conclusion. While there are no expectations when it comes to box office figures, a section of the audience has still entered the theatre to watch it.

The overall reviews have been mixed, with only a few saying that it is a decent watch. But the ticket buying audience has a lot to say about it. The movie has even suffered from heavy comparisons from Premalu, as it is a remake of the hit Malayalam film.

Some said that the actors have been miscast in their respective roles. Other stated that it should serve as a lesson for all those who are planning to do remakes or opt for a cultural adaptation of a story that became popular among the audience.

People have even called it an unnecessary or a worst remake, with one of the reviews stating that it is an assault on the senses. A section said that the story was planning to take the right direction, however, it failed to develop a connection with the viewers.

Some said that while the first half was good and delivered a lot of promise, the second half completely disappointed. A few critics said that although the movie is aimed to attract the youth, they are not expected to visit the theatres in large numbers due to the ongoing craze for Drishyam: The Conclusion.

Trade experts have already declared that the movie will face a tough phase at the box office due to the competition from Ajay Devgn’s film. They even said that Veer Pahariya does not have a future as a solo hero for now and it will take a few more years for him to establish a career in that field.

With the content already disappointing the audience and the ongoing possibilities of the film emerging as a disaster, let’s see if Prem Keetanu will work to some extent with a miracle.
