Ajay Devgn is back to the big screen with the much-anticipated sequel, Raid 2, released several years after the 2018 blockbuster Raid. The film is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and hit theaters on May 1, 2025. It showcased another gripping tale of justice versus corruption.
The crime thriller, co-starring Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor, received mixed to positive reviews from the audience.

In the midst of all this, T-Series head Bhushan Kumar confirmed that Raid 3 is also on the cards. jHe also shared that co-producer Kumar Mangat pitched Raid 2 even before the first film was completed. So, even before Raid 2 hits screens, the idea for a third sequel is already shaping up.
However, the conscious ones are not happy with the idea of a third installment. There is no denying that both Raid 1 and 2 have been decent hits. However, they were not able to create the kind of spark the makers had expected. Of course, the plotlines were almost the same.

Even a creative person like Riteish Deshmukh could not save the poor screenplay of the film. Now, with Raid 3 on the cards, people are left asking: will it be worth it or will Ajay face backlash for doing monotonous roles?
Raid has undoubtedly been a successful franchise. But the story is so predictable that people can easily guess before release what would eventually happen in the end.

Raid 2 is a hit. But the franchise should conclude at this point. Bollywood needs fresh subjects right now and based on the condition of the box office this year, filmmakers should focus on exploring other themes instead of repeating the same thing with sequels.
