Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing incident a few days ago created a lot of headlines. While his fans were praying for his recovery, some outlets were simply attempting to get more TRPs.
It is unfortunate that in such cases, certain channels try to focus on sensational news so that people start watching them and their demand expands eventually. This is wrong because things might look normal from the outside but they could be more intense and bad from the inside.

While it is clear that someone stabbed Saif inside his house, a few channels tried to link other things to the incidents, including that the attack might be associated with Saif’s alleged relationship with his maid.
A few others added random photos of unknown individuals to make people believe that the particular person was possibly involved in the incident. This was ridiculous, specifically because the headlines in such cases simply stated that the secret behind everything that happened at Saif’s house had been revealed.

This is undoubtedly bringing a bad side of the media in front of the public. The intention of a news channel is always to bring out the truth to everyone. But here it seems like the channels are racing against each other to get more views and popularity.
It is happening specifically because everyone has access to the internet and social media nowadays. Share a link anywhere and it will go viral in a few seconds. The more that link is shared, the more you get views.
