Salman’s Sonam Wangchuk Post: Making Fun of Students Protest?

Salman Khan's post sparks controversy

The ongoing students issue has grabbed a lot of attention throughout the country. While the reactions of the celebrities are being questioned, Salman Khan has now shared another post, with a photo featuring a cup of Being Human, which has now become a topic of discussion.

Salman wrote in his post that the students are the main priority in terms of education and security. He said that no one needs to worry, adding that only their parents should be worried for them.

Salman stated that the PM of India has already posted a tweet and that he is assured that strict action will be taken against those who are the culprits behind the leak. He even requested the students to return home.

Salman then referred to Sonam Wangchuk, seemingly asking him not to extend the hunger strike. Salman also asked Sonam to eat something, adding that he will send food.

While Salman’s post has received a lot of praise, it has also raised a lot of questions at the same time. A few criticised Salman for the post. The reason was that many people believed that Salman was making fun of the protests and Sonam.

A particular section also alleged that Salman’s post was a part of promoting Maatrubhumi. One of them wrote that the film won’t become a hit if he shares such posts on social media.

A few others addressed the fact that Salman’s intention might be good behind sharing the post. However, they stated that Salman should not request Sonam to break his fast and instead ask Narendra Modi to take the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan.

On the other hand, fans stepped in to support Salman, saying that it was wrong to judge him based on one particular post. Some stated that it has become a common habit where a superstar is criticised for not saying anything at all, and when they do, the criticism does not stop.

As of now, Salman has not responded to the criticism that has emerged from his post. Let’s wait and see if he will give an indirect reply or if the situation will be something else.
