Sanjay Dutt’s The Bhootnii is releasing on May 1, 2025, alongside Raid 2. While the team needs to be appreciated for clashing with another big release, the film’s opening number is something that remains a topic of debate.
Although May 1 is a holiday, trade experts are expecting The Bhootnii to collect around Rs. 25 lakhs and that the numbers could rise to Rs. 90 lakhs or Rs. 1 crore, considering that the film is arriving on an extended weekend. Moreover, the competition from Raid 2 is also supposed to leave an impact.

A better opening was possible if the makers had opted for better promotional strategies. The biggest problem right now is that there are no promotions at all. People are hardly aware that the film is releasing in theatres.
The above-mentioned prediction numbers are not something that is expected from a film featuring Sanjay Dutt.

While it has been made on a medium budget, the opening numbers have to be between Rs. 10-15 crores if the makers are aiming to recover their budget.
The film’s trailer was released suddenly without any proper tease or announcement, due to which it went unnoticed.

Although there are very low expectations in terms of opening, things might take a different turn, and people might start watching the film for one or two positive reasons. Let’s wait and see if that happens.
