Shah Rukh Khan has quote tweeted a post by Prime Minister Narendra Modi about an upcoming Cinema Summit in India. But it has started sparking a new controversy too.
Shah Rukh Khan is known for taking Indian cinema to the global stage time and again and it would be very apt for him to be an integral part of the upcoming summit as well.

He has said, “It is with great anticipation that I look forward to WAVES – a film and entertainment world summit – to be held in our country itself. An occasion that celebrates our industry and acknowledges the role it plays in the Indian economy, as well as its strength as a soft power… and above all, an occasion that champions and fosters creativity!!! @narendramodi ji”
But some are hinting at the star’s political allegiances and asking why he did not post a single thing about the Late Dr. Manmohan Singh’s death and is now supporting an initiative of the ruling party. Some fans have defended him by saying it is not about a specific party but for the overall good of the entertainment industry in India.

And it will not make much sense for Shah Rukh Khan to support the ruling party in its political endeavors because it has disturbed the star for many absurd reasons. Even his son was not spared and had to face jail because of this strained politics.
