It is not news to anyone that Shahid Kapoor is having a tough time at the box office. His last release Deva was underwhelming and now he has his hopes with Arjun Ustara directed by Vishal Bhardwaj to make a big comeback.
Yet his market appeal doesn’t seem to decline as he recently signed Farzi 2 for a reported fee of Rs.45 crores. The hit OTT show has really set a mark for Shahid on OTT but many believe that the real worth of an actor is only determined by their box office collection.
Kartik Aryan fans were quick to point out that there is a clear discrimination in the industry. Kartik has given two blockbuster hits like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and 3, his presence in a film promises solid fan support yet he is reported to only get Rs.50 crores from Dharma Productions.
Fans are outraged with this discrimination, some pointed out that this is because Shahid is a star kid while Kartik is an outsider. But Shahid’s fans defended him by saying he has had a longer career than Kartik and has a huge fan following.
