Bollywood actress and entrepreneur Shilpa Shetty Kundra has announced the closure of her popular restaurant, Bastian Bandra, which has been one of Mumbai’s top nightlife destinations since 2016. The news has left many fans and patrons emotional.
In a heartfelt note on social media, Shilpa shared that Thursday would mark the end of an era as the Bandra outlet takes its “final bow.” She expressed gratitude to loyal patrons and fondly recalled the countless memories created at the restaurant.
To bid farewell, she revealed that a special evening will be hosted for close patrons to celebrate the restaurant’s journey. She also confirmed that their well-known Thursday night ritual, Arcane Affair, will continue at Bastian at the Top with new experiences.
Bastian Bandra, co-owned by Shilpa and restaurateur Ranjit Bindra, had been a celebrity hotspot since 2016. Its closure comes at a sensitive time as Shilpa and her husband Raj Kundra face allegations of defrauding businessman Deepak Kothari of ₹60.4 crore.
According to the complaint, the amount invested between 2015 and 2023 through Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd was allegedly diverted for personal use. However, the couple’s lawyer Prashant Patil denied the charges, stating it was an old corporate dispute with no criminality.
