SZP: Trailer Delayed; Movie Release Doubtful?

Sitaare Zameen Par Trailer Delayed

The trailer of Sitaare Zameen Par was supposed to drop on May 8, 2025. Fans were ready. Hype was high.

But just before the launch, it got postponed. Why? The makers decided to delay the release in respect of the Indian Army’s ongoing Operation Sindoor amid the India–Pakistan conflict.

While the reason is valid, the postponement has sparked a new debate online.

According to social media, opinions are divided. Some are already calling it “another flop”. Others are skeptical, saying Aamir Khan hasn’t delivered a hit in years.

Laal Singh Chaddha didn’t work with the audience and people are asking: Is Aamir losing his magic?

But here’s the flip side—there are still a lot of people who believe in Aamir Khan. They’re asking: Can someone who gave us 3 Idiots, PK, Dangal, Taare Zameen Par and Ghajini really go wrong twice in a row?

His films didn’t just work—they changed the way Indian films balanced entertainment with emotion.

The poster released on monday had Aamir with 10 fresh faces. That itself has got people talking.

Introducing 10 newcomers in a mainstream film isn’t a safe bet—but Aamir has never been one to play it safe.

Directed by R. S. Prasanna (Shubh Mangal Saavdhan), Sitaare Zameen Par is being called a spiritual sequel to Taare Zameen Par and has Genelia Deshmukh alongside Aamir.

The new trailer release date hasn’t been announced yet but the film is still scheduled to release on June 20, 2025.

Is this Aamir Khan’s real comeback or will the doubts from social media turn into reality? Only time (and the trailer) will tell.
