But a new update has now confirmed that things won’t proceed as planned. The movie is now expected to face some delay as Nikhil has prioritized his Hollywood film. For the unversed, the director has been selected to helm an action thriller, Deadlocked, featuring Jamie Foxx in the lead.
The project was being planned for almost two years, and it is now finally moving ahead. Nikhil has become a popular face with Kill, and people are expecting him to bring a new form of Jamie Foxx this time.
However, with Nikhil’s commitment to the Hollywood film, Parashuram has been shifted to 2027. On the other hand, the producers are looking for better options. They are trying to decide if they should wait for Nikhil or find someone else to take the director’s seat.
The project is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers, and the production company is even aiming to replace the movie with Jaat 2 if possible. But nothing has been finalized so far.
Netizens reacted by saying that the makers should wait for Nikhil since he is the only person who can bring a new form of Sunny Deol on screen. Some others stated that instead of replacing the film with Jaat 2, the sequel and the planned movie should be pursued as separate projects.
On the other hand, Sunny’s fans advised the makers to find a director whose work can be considered similar or a little better than Nikhil, which will ensure that the audiences are not disappointed.
