Actress Declares Boldly: My Page, My Vagina, My Baby

Savage Reply by Richa Chadha

Richa Chadha recently celebrated the 1st birthday of her daughter Zuneyra. She took to social media to share how being a mother has changed her inside-out.

But her choice of words has sparked a debate online. She stated that she gave “natural birth”, and mothers who have undergone C-section took offence to it.

Many netizens commented that Richa is such a feminist icon and she should not create this divide by using words like natural and artificial. They advised her to use the word Vaginal instead.

Many women who have given a caesarean childbirth asked her if she does not consider their kind a natural one. Many media pages also ran pieces on the issue highlighting Richa as a faulty feminist.

To clarify the matter Richa replied to one such comment and stated that her feminism has taught her to use words of her choice freely. She slammed the trolls by saying “It is my page, also my vagina and my baby”.

Clearly, Richa’s post was taken out of proportion and sensationalised even if her choice of words could have been more sensitive.
