Who doesn’t love the magical wizard who was a surgeon? We all love to see Dr Strange on the big or small screens and after the second solo movie of his, fans became really excited about the future of Benedict Cumberbatch’s character.
Like most Marvel movies, Multiverse of Madness sets up a good groundwork for the future plans. He was seen with Clea who is Dormammu’s niece and a love interest of Doctor Strange. They jumped into a new dimension which will be the start of their new adventure.
Benedict appeared as a guest in the JW3 Speaker series and confirmed that he will be returning as Doctor Strange. Cumberbatch also said that he will be filming some scenes for an upcoming Marvel film which will start filming next year.
It was assumed that he would return to the beloved role in Kang Dynasty but keeping the recent delay in mind, it might not be the case anymore.
Marvel didn’t share any insights regarding the third installment of the Dr Strange franchise so you can rule out that possibility as well. So the most viable choice will be the filming of ‘Fantastic Four’ where he can make an appearance. He already had an interaction with them in Earth-838 and another one would just be a ‘cherry on top’ experience.
