The Guardians Of The Galaxy is not only one of the most loved trilogy in the MCU but it also has some of the most loved characters. The creator behind this success, James Gunn is no longer a part of the MCU and is now running the DC Studio. However, the love he has for his creation is evident in his vision for the future of the franchise.
In a Threads post, James Gunn shared what he wants for the future of Guardians Of The Galaxy in the MCU. He is confident that a good director can continue the story of the new version of the team assembled by Gunn in which Rocket Raccoon is the leader of the squad.
Groot, Cosmo the Spacedog, Phylla, Kraglin and Adam Warlock are the other members of this team. Gunn believes a new director can go for a Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 4 or a completely new trilogy based on the new team.
The new Guardians Of The Galaxy can also be introduced as supporting roles for other movies. James Gunn is on good terms with Kevin Feige who is running the MCU and therefore it is possible that these suggestions would not be ignored altogether.
