Why is GTA Online becoming so popular ? According to voice actor Steven Ogg, Rockstar games planned to make an expansion of Trevor’s character, but later they cancelled the plan, that’s why GTA Online is getting all the hype.
Ogg, Ned Luke and Shawn Fonteno together joined in a question and answer session, addressing the abandoned downloadable project of GTA 5, where Trevor served as a Federal Investigation Bureau agent.
“Originally they were gonna do continuing stories of Michael, Franklin, and Trevor,” Luke said in the session, and Ogg expanded on his version.
On behalf of the DLC’s cancellation Luke said, because of the success of GTA Online, which was released a decade ago, this new DLC was cancelled because fans were expecting something similar to GTA Online.
Several developers were frustrated because of the early trailer leaking, as well as PC gamers were left annoyed because this game was supposed to launch in the year 2025 in the format of XBox and XBox 5, where their medium was left off the list.
