Gladiator is known for its brutal action scenes, and now after 25 years the movie is getting its long awaited sequel, and it reportedly features one of the biggest action sequences in cinema history.
With all the principal photography complete, and reshoots currently ongoing, Gladiator 2 is about to wrap up its shooting process.
Currently Hollywood movies have a heavy influence of action if we see movies like The Fall Guy, or even the blockbuster Dune movie action plays a pivotal role.
Even the Academy Awards are now thinking of including the stunt category.
In that case Gladiator 2 is going to play a very important role in this field as the previous movie was filled with well crafted action sequences the sequel is not gonna take any step back.
Gladiator 2 was screened at the 2024 CineEurope trade show and was the main event of Paramount’s presentation.
Paramount went fully in with the footage, creating a giant cardboard Colosseum in the auditorium, and hiring actors to pose as Roman legionaries.
The selected scene featured Paul Mescal and Pedro Pascal.
Paul Mescal became very famous after his hit web series based on Sally Rooney’s cult classic “Normal People”, and who doesn’t know about Pedro Pascal.
Although Ridley Scott didn’t attend the presentation, but he did appear in a video introduction.
The British director assured audiences that the sequel, releasing 25 years after Gladiator, was “well worth the wait.”
