Benedict Cumberbatch is the latest entry in the list of people who have leaked the inside information of MCU. As Doctor Strange, he has made his mark on the wider MCU as the master of the mystic arts. His first solo movie was enough to hook the characters and the fans. However, despite all the precision the good doctor might portray on screen, he still slipped this teensy little detail about his next appearance in Avengers 5.
Benedict, in an interview, was providing a retrospective on the role of Doctor Strange when he said that for him, the role is a gift in many ways in his life as a producer and as an actor. To this, Cumberbatch added, “I love playing him. He’s great fun. I’m very much looking forward to Avengers next year, which is cooking up a storm.”
Two things are now evident from this statement: First, Doctor Strange is confirmed to be a character in the next instalment of The Avengers. And two, Avengers 5 will commence production next year. Which means we can soon expect more content regarding the next mega cross-over event. We have already been hearing rumours about the 60+ count of total characters in Avengers 5, which is already huge hype. Now that Benedict has given out this little sneak peek, we are more excited than ever to see our beloved characters yet again.
